Today we were privileged to be a part of a Recommit to Love ceremony at our Center. We talked about how loving ourselves unconditionally allows for an open heart to see and be love. "How could anyone ever tell you you were anything less than beautiful. How could anyone ever tell you you were less than whole. How could anyone fail to notice that your loving is a miracle, how deeply you're connected to my soul" ~Libby Rodrick. I am grateful for the power of love.
I have learned that every emotion and thought we have is either based from love or fear. If you have fear in your heart and mind, it is for lack of love. I choose to grow in love, to be love, to share love, to understand others in love and for that I am grateful.
And in the words of John Lennon, whose lyrics have moved me since I was a child;
Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
Thank you to John and all the other dreamers out there, never stop dreaming, I am grateful for each and every one of you.

Day 22 in Gratitude
26 years ago today I gave birth to a 6lb 12oz bouncing baby boy. 26 years ago...it just doesn't seem possible. I still feel like it was yesterday driving him to and watching his soccer games. Watching him playing the drums, playing basketball, reading a poem on stage, playing baseball in the park with his brothers. I never thought I'd say this but time really does fly. (OMG, I've become my Mother!) I am so grateful to have him in my life. We talk, we play scrabble on-line (actually he humors me in a game of scrabble while he kicks my butt) we go out to dinner and have lively conversation. I treasure every moment of watching him grow to be a wonderful human being with a heart of gold. I love you babydoll.
I am grateful to reconnect with an old friend. Years ago we worked together in the restaurant business and he always dreamed of one day owning his own. That dream has become a reality and I'm so proud of him.
I am grateful to have friends in my life that support me unconditionally. Over the course of 352 days I'm sure you'll see me post this frequently. I have a fantastic support group of friends whom I adore and love dearly. Having friends I can completely open up to, showing them my warts and my inner beauty and who are always there when I need them means the world to me. Whether to just go shopping with to pick out a pair of shoes or having a heart to heart over the phone, I am forever thankful for who you are at your core, I love you.

Day 13 in Gratitude
I am grateful to finally have my heels off...OMG, I may never get them back on my feet again. Anyone who has ever worked a trade show knows the pain of standing on a hard floor for 9-10 hours in heels. It's insanity! I am grateful to be barefoot and walking on a nice soft carpet.
I am grateful to have met some lovely people today. It is always entertaining to me, meeting and talking with people, learning about them, where they're from, what type of work they do. If you ask the right questions, you can find out a lot about people and really get to know who they are in a very short period of time. I find people and their stories fascinating.
I miss my husband. Being away from home has always proven difficult for me. I just miss his smiling face, his hugs, he gives the best 'I love you from the bottom of my heart' hugs in the world. When he wraps his arms around me, all I feel is love and warmth. I am so grateful to have him in my life. I am blessed.
