Yesterday I woke at 3:00am to take a flight to Philly for a meeting at the Anthroplogie offices. It was a very long day but I'm so glad I took the trip.
Headquartered at the Philadelphia Naval Yard which became a United States Navy site in 1801, the Anthropologie offices are housed in buildings from that era that have been gutted and rehabbed. Walking into these buildings I was immediately inspired. Open spaces, loft-like elements everywhere, eclectic furniture in every corner, creativity was in abundance. Everywhere I looked I saw art in every modality imaginable.
After the meeting we went downtown into Philadelphia and visited the Anthropologie flagship store on Rittenhouse Square. 3 floors overflowing with eclectic finds that tease the senses. We spent over an hour taking everything in, I was having a blast!
We had lunch at a quirky little restaurant that I can't remember the name of but the tomato, basil and fennel soup was amazing. If I remember later, I'll blog it.
I am grateful to have experienced all the creativity in action. I appreciate creatives and thank them for sharing their inspiration with me. What a great business trip!
What are you grateful for?
Today I'm greateful for the fact that this year February is only 28 days long and I'll get my salary soon :-)))
